    Description

Hello and thank you for viewing my listing. Today you are purchasing one very controversial meteorite specimen of NWA 5415 Achondrite Howardite Meteorite from Northwest Africa. Crazy story with this one and my first controversial meteorite classification. Officially listed as Howardite. I sent the specimens in due to their strange appearance and major attraction to a magnet. When the Howardite classification came back, I scratched my head wondering, "how?". After numerous attempts to debate the official classification, one day it was just written in the notes on the LPSC site as "conceivably a metal poor Mesosiderite". Not sure when that happened, and no one notified me of this. I have sat on this classification number for years and years until someone would resolved my debate, then one day out of nowhere, there it was. Major papers were written on this stone in the beginning due to its strange findings in the lab. My guess is that Meso IS linked to H.E.D. (Meso and Pallasite) and this is what through them off. Maybe even an IMB of the two together? You never know? THIS SPECIMEN HAS BEEN WINDOWED TO VIEW THE MATRIX.
My catalog number is G056-0330 and weighs in at 3.48 grams and comes with my card of authenticity for provenance. Remember, provenance is a must when collecting meteorites (especially one like this). I have designed a COA for NWA 5415, as I do with all of my classifications. The specimen you see pictured is the exact specimen you will receive. Each card comes with catalog number, weight and my signature of authenticity. Thanks again for viewing. Cheers!
Thanks again for viewing and my shipping is like this, the first is usually only .29 and .50 cents for each additional item, unless over 60 grams, then 1.00 per item.
