NWA 11788 0.46g Part Slice of Lunar Feldspathic Breccia Meteorite

Item for auction is a
0.46g partial slice
of NWA 11788 Lunar feldspathic breccia meteorite. NWA 11788 was purchased in Mali by Dustin Dickens from anonymous meteorite hunter. The meteorite is comprised of many dark visually identical appearing pieces, with masses ranging from ~2 kg to many sub-g fragments, showing no fusion crust. Saw cut reveals a finely fragmental breccia with white feldspathic clasts set in a dark gray ground mass with metal flecks and minor vesiculation appearing throughout. This meteorite is a breccia of fragmental pyroxene, olivine, plagioclase grains. There are domains that are fine-grained and cataclastic with shock melt and vesicles.
*This piece came off of a full slice that displayed different coloration than my other 11788 slices. It was also very metal-rich with a lot of FeNi blebs throughout. This slice is also polished to a mirror finish on both sides.
This meteorite comes in a quality labeled micro membranebox, along with a Big Kahuna Meteorites Certificate of Authenticity. Scale cube in photo is 1cm on each side, and not included in sale. Big Kahuna combines shipping, and addresses must be in the English language, to facilitate customs input at US Postal Service. Non-English addresses cannot be shipped, and may incur additional fees for handling. We no longer ship to China or Italy.
