    Description

Hello up for sale is NWA 14899 classified as Martian Olivine Gabbroic Shergottite!! This beautiful slice weighs 6.298 grams, with a mirrior polish to one side, fusion crust on the side of the slice and a yellow gold color to it. Sample displays a gabbroic texture (Av. silicate grain size ~1.1 mm, up to 5.5 mm, n=105) composed of sub-rounded olivine, prismatic and elongate zoned pyroxene (mostly pigeonite, some displaying augite exsolution lamellae), and elongate plagioclase (completely converted into maskelynite) . Accessory phases include Ti-bearing Cr-rich spinel, ilmenite, merrillite, and troilite. I will include a COA card and display case with this lot. Thanks for your interest and take care!!
THIS IS A VERY GORGEOUS AND UNIQUE MARTIAN METEORITE, KNOWN AS THE GOLDEN MARTIAN!!!
THE MARTIAN METEORITES ARE BECOMING MORE DIFFICULT TO FIND NOWADAYS AND WILL SOON BECOME EXCEEDINGLY
