    Description

Each of these faceted Czech Moldavite beads are 1.20 carats a peice and measure around 6 to 6.5 mm across & are drilled to fit a 24 gauge wire. I'm selling each one of these 15 from right to left as they're pictured.
    Moldavite:
Moldavite is a type of Tektite, which are best briefly described as “glass created by meteorite impact”. Moldavite is a popular and well known one since no doubt it’s a rare & beautifully lovely tektite, there are also many misconceptions about it.
Moldavite is from Outer-Space in the sense of having maybe been there briefly before falling to the Earth after the Impactor [from Space] event created it, fusing into it material both of Terrestrial and Extraterrestrial origins.
Ranging from dark to pale green, it’s rare for Tektites to have notable transparency or even translucency – a quality of Moldavite contributing greatly to its charm; most of Earth’s tektites appear black.
Being a rare and valued natural glass there are many counterfeit Moldavite specimens, even rather outrageous misapplications of its name, but the fakes do get better and better all the time. Looking for characteristics like its often easily discernible interior swirling lines or gas bubbles, or “Moldavite specimens” of repeating shapes (glass cast in molds by some dealer/manufacturer) is a good idea; but it’s always best to work with a vendor that genuinely knows and cares about their materials.
