Description
PCGS authenticated and graded MS 65 BN.Attractive frosty medium chocolate brown. Nicely struck and nearly flawless. There is a spot of very fine carbon nestled between the S & T in STANDARD and a tiny planchet flake between the tip of the left wing and the adjacent leaf tip, as struck. These tokens are the only half-cent-denominated pieces struck as part of the Hard Times series. While they are not Federal issues, they are often collected as part of the normal Federal series and are included with them in the "Redbook." T
rue mint state pieces like this one are quite rare, and this is the nicest example I've had the pleasure of viewing myself.
